Drive right up to Bad Rock B&B Inn’s front door, just 20 minutes from Glacier National Park, and look out at the great Swan Mountain Range, the first western range of the Rocky Mountains. Here the mountains reach elevations of 7,200, feet while in Glacier National Park they rise to over 10,000 feet. Arrival at Bad Rock B&B Inn brings guests to the main house and its stunning example of architectural log and river rock design.
Guests often gather for an impromptu social event in the livingroom at the house. There is a refrigerator at the bar that is kept stocked for the guests with soft drinks and fruit juices. Pretzels and other little snacks are kept on the bar, there is also a microwave for guest use... help yourself to some fresh popcorn!
Two adjoining dining rooms accommodate 24 guests at four large tables where breakfast is served. Breakfast is served Montana style, hearty, plentiful and delicious, from a collection of unique Bad Rock recipes. Breakfast delights include Spinach Quiche, Bacon Wrapped Polenta, Sauage and Potato Omelette, Chocolate and Toffee Scones; and the guests’ favorite, fluffy Belgium Waffles heaped with strawberries and whipped cream. Guests are encouraged to linger at breakfast, where the conversations will likely center on yesterday’s hiking experiences, current activities at Glacier National Park, and the latest grizzly bear stories.
Most all guests at Bad Rock B&B Inn come to experience Glacier National Park. In addition to an extensive collection of reference material on Montana and the Park, there is the Bad Rock Bible. Guests keep saying it is the most unique and informative amenity they have ever encountered at any bed and breakfast. There is a copy for each room, to be taken with the guests on their daily trips. "Thank you for making our four days at Bad Rock the greatest. We’ve stayed at many B&Bs, but yours has something special we’ve never run into - a warmth that is hard to find these days. Montana should be very proud to have you representing the state." -Fred and Sherry, Florida
